![]() ![]() For the Lord God is a sun and shield The Lord will give grace and glory No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly.-Psalm 84:11īut Jesus also became our Lordwhen we received our salvation, and that means that He has rulership over our lives.We have been redeemed back to God our Father, which means that we have a personal relationship with Him just as Adam and Eve had in the Garden of Eden. We are now the children of God and free to receive all of God’s love, protection, blessings and yes, even chastisement. ![]() When Jesus took our sins away, He became our Saviorand we became a new creation in Christ. We have been saved by grace! But what does this mean and how is grace alone enough? He poured His grace upon us when we accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. We often relate “grace” only to our salvation, as in God has taken away the punishment that we rightly deserved for our sins. But as God’s redeemed, we need to understand the fullness of its meaning and why God said that His grace is enough. This Scripture has often been interpreted to mean that we should be humble and sacrificial in our spirit, and just accept the struggles we endure as part of life. Most believers are familiar with the Scripture in 2 Corinthians 12:9 that says, “My grace is sufficient for you.” God spoke this to Apostle Paul when he cried out to the Lord and asked Him to remove the thorn that Satan had put in his side. ![]()
